Q for the Soul

"The Soul is dyed by the color of it’s thoughts.
Think only of those things that are in line with
your principles and can bear the light of day.
The content of your character is your choice.
Day by day, what you do is who you become."

--Heraclitus—

I thought this quote was appropriate to consider, in light of speaking with 'no guile.' A key here is understanding our principles and not being ashamed to own them. And I really like the last line, because I've seen in my own life how I've evolved into the person I am.

There you go. I liked the Pearl Buck quote, by the way, even though I felt it required some context. But this quote, I can endorse without having to qualify or contextualize, because it acknowledges that when we speak our truth, it must reflect our inner state, who we are. We must speak with integrity.

To insist that we speak with integrity is to acknowledge the importance of truth, but also to make room for the perspectives of others.

Nice quote!
